Huawei’s various corporate & regulatory issues have taken a robust toll on its businesses, but that has not stopped it from launching new different products, particularly within the audio & wearable seg.

Other brands such as, Huawei has entered truth wireless audio space in India, also launch of premium, competitively priced products that hope to require on flagship options from Apple, Samsung, and Sony.

Priced under Rs. 10,000, the Huawei Free Buds 3i is seemingly on par with options such as the. Sony WF-1000XM3 & Apple AirPods Pro.

¤ THE SIMPLEST STYLE, COMFORTABLE IN-CANAL FIT ON the HUAWEI FREE BUDS 3I :

While we’ve seen a touch of adventurous stylist & crowd pleasing designs on true wireless earphones between this price SEG, the Huawei Free Buds 3i is unlike most other options.

The earphones are simplest-looking with a glossy plastic finish & have a shape that somewhat makes them resemble the Apple AirPods.

There are not any logos on the earpieces in the least.

You are doing get a correct in-canal fit, which ensures effective noise isolation and thus, makes for functional active noise cancellation.

Available in both colors such as, black and white.

The earpieces of the Huawei Free Buds 3i each have 3 microphones which are used for active & environmental noise cancellation also as voice calls.

There’s no IP rating for dust and water resistance, or indeed even any stated sort of protection from spills or environmental exposure, so, you will have to take care around water with these earphones.

Each earpiece weight 5.5g & that I found the fit be comfortable over long listening sessions.

The earpieces have touch sensors at the top ; you’ll control playback, invoke your phone voice assistant & control sound modes through gestures.

The controls are often customized using the Huawei AI Life application (available only on Android).

It’s the simplest enough app that does its job, which may be a good thing.

The charging case is not big, small, and matches the color & texture of the earpieces.

There are indicator lights on both the surface and inside, and a pairing button at the rear for once you got to pair the headset with a replacement device.

Charging is through a USB Type-C port at the rear.

The Huawei Free Buds 3i uses 10 mm dynamic drivers & features a claimed noise reduction of up to 32 dB.

For connectivity, the earphones used in Bluetooth 5 with supported for the SBC codecs and AAC codecs.

The claimed battery life is 3.5 hrs for the earpieces and a complete of 14.5 hrs with the charging case; I managed to return on the brink of these figures in testing with mixed usage.

This is not particularly great compared to other options during this price range, even considering theirs active noise cancellation.

¤ GREAT ACTIVE NOISE CANCELLATION ON THE HUAWEI FREE BUDS 3I :

Priced under Rs. 10,000 the Huawei Free Buds 3i is among the foremost affordable true wireless headsets with active noise cancellation.

While such a feature is typically quite basic regarding quality and adaptability on entry-level earphones as compared to premium options,

the Free Buds 3i actually offers excellent ANC performance for the worth.

Its three-microphone system seems to be quite effective, and audibly takes the sting out of everyday noise.

Sound quality, while almost nearly as good as on a number of our top picks within the budget true wireless space, is pleasant enough for normal listening and calls.

Starting with high-resolution music on Tidal, I listened to a Master’s version of on the brink of You by The Avalanches.

The primary thing I noticed was some sparkle within the sound, with the Huawei Free Buds 3i capably reproducing the highs during this sample-based house track.

The lows were refined & calculated, but didn’t quite sound nearly as good as on the Lypertek Tevi& artistic Outlier Air.

With Bruno Mars’ Treasure, I used to be ready to hear the extent of detail within the sound, also because of the capabilities of the mid range.

The Huawei FreeBuds 3i features a somewhat balanced sonic signature; the sound isn’t as natural-sounding and easy like the Lypertek Tevi,

but it’s definitely less bass-and-treble focused than options like the JBL Tune 225TWS.

The sound was fairly detailed, with a fairly spacious sound stage also, Much of this will be credited to the standard of the source tracks.

Standard compressed audio streams from Spotify and YouTube Music sounding a touch less detailed and clean.

Although the sonic signature was an equivalent, Treasure sounded a touch less refined and slightly lacking in finesse when it came to detail.

The sonic signature also appeared to narrow a touch, and therefore, the sparkle within the highs occasionally hit unpleasant levels of sharpness.

The Huawei Free Buds 3i needs very good input to a supply very good output; standard compressed audio does bring out the weaknesses in its tuning.

Although sound quality is way from the simplest between this SEG,the Huawei Free Buds 3i makes up for that with effective noise cancellation that’s largely on par with what you’d get with far more expensive options like the Sony WF-SP800N.

There was audible reduction in typical household noise, including the hum of ceiling fans and air-conditioners.

Even outdoors, the Free Buds 3i managed to form things tons quieter.

This helped with regularly music listening & calls, making the overall usage experiences far more pleasant than with true wireless earphones that have outer-ear fits.

Call quality was very good in most situations, with the active and environmental noise cancellation working together well to make sure well sound on both ends of the decision.

¤ VERDICT :

Huawei FreeBuds 3i True Wireless Earphones Review

While we’ve reviewed some impressive options within the true wireless market priced under Rs. 10,000 over the past some months, the Huawei Free Buds 3i is the 1st with active noise cancellation

Albeit the sound quality and codec support doesn’t match up thereto of the Lypertek Tevi — our current top pick during this price range — it’s still a worthwhile pick if noise cancellation is vital to you.

There are a some of the other shortcomings, including battery life, and therefore, the lack of water resistance, but on the entire the Huawei FreeBuds 3i may be a decent pair of trues.
